For your safety, some states require that legal documents are notarized when they are signed. Notaries are licensed by the government to verify the identity of the person signing legal documents like the title transfer documents we ask for. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know if your state requires it.
When getting a document notarized, be sure to bring a valid government-issued photo ID so that the notary public can confirm your identity.
To find a notary public near you, we recommend searching for “notary public” in your local area in Google Maps or Yelp. UPS stores, FedEx stores, your local library, local courthouse, or AAA also often offer a notary service. You can also search for a notary public near you by visiting http://www.notaryrotary.com/.
