LendingClub currently offers the following types of investing accounts:
An account in your own name. If you open an account only using our online process, you will open either an individual account or an IRA account (described below). If you wish to setup any other type of account, you will need to contact LendingClub via email@example.com.
You can open a Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, or Simple IRA with LendingClub based on your specific investment goals. Any of these types of accounts may be opened through a self-directed IRA by clicking here and complete the application. If you have questions, please call LendingClub Investor Services.
An account in the name of two or more individuals holding joint interests. If you would like to open a joint account, the primary contact on the account should open an individual LendingClub account online, and then request a joint account form from Investor Services via firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we have all the paperwork we need, we can convert the account to a joint account.
An account in the name of a trust, with a trustee controlling the assets on behalf of a specified beneficiary. If you would like to open an account in the name of a trust, please contact Investor Services at email@example.com.
An account opened in the name of a corporation or LLC. This type of account can be controlled by an authorized representative of the corporation. If you would like to open an account in the name of a corporation, please contact Investor Services at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also invest in LendingClub notes via accounts set up for minors, including Uniform Gifts to Minors Act (UGMA) and Uniform Transfers to Minors Act (UTMA) accounts. If you would like to open an UGMA or an UTMA, please contact Investor Services at email@example.com for the appropriate application.
