We review selected loans for further identity checks and/or to verify the reported income or employment of borrowers. Usually, the review process takes place while the loan is still "In Funding." However, sometimes this process continues after the loan has been fully committed. If that is the case, the loan will no longer appear on the platform to new investors, but investors who have committed to that loan will continue to see the loan marked "In Review." In most cases, the information will be verified in the next few days. At that point, the loan will be marked "Approved" and will become funded.
In some cases, it may take longer to verify borrower information. This doesn't occur often, but it does occur sometimes. We allow up to thirty days from the day the loan is first posted on the platform for the loan to be verified. If the information cannot be verified in that time, the loan will "expire" and any funds committed to that loan will be released.
